After 23 years in western Massachusetts- I have moved back to Phoenix, Arizona. The last 10 years were devoted to learning, dancing and teaching West Coast Swing and Argentine tango.

I left so many good friends and a friendly inclusive dance community in the Pioneer Valley. I made life long friends and learned not only more swing but salsa, argentine tango, waltz, zydeco, cajun & some crazy freeform stuff.

Dance has been the joy of my life since I started in 1989. It has kept my head above water through every tough moment in my life. It has provided community, support, friendship, exercise, and fashion– skirts, tops and shoes!, and an endless supply of smiles and laughter.

I am the ballerina in the middle of my two sisters. After my very short ballet class experience- I didn’t dance again for over 30 years. I learned lindy and east coast swing when I moved to the valley from some of the best- Frankie Manning, Teddy Kern, Sylvia Sykes and Jonathon Bixby. But I missed dancing west coast swing so I started teaching it in 1992. I was fortunate to take lessons and workshops with many of the finest teachers based in Southern California- Annie Hirsch, Mary Ann Nunez, Wayne and Sharlot Bott, Sonny Watson, Buddy Schwimmer, Carlito Rafoli, and the list goes on.  You can see and read more about these talented legends of swing here.

Available for teaching private and group lessons.
